So, what happens at midnight?

There once was a lovely little couple who lived in a little town in the southern part of Australia, a town called Traralgon. Their three daughters had grown up and moved away to other parts of the country and even overseas, so this lovely little couple put all the energy they once put into their beautiful children into their beautiful garden.

As part of their gardening habit, the little lady used to throw her kitchen scraps into the compost heap and then use this compost to fertilise her vegetable garden. The garden of the lovely little couple had tomatoes, many different coloured lettuces, zucchinis and herbs. But absolutely no pumpkins.
One day, when the little lady was showing her garden to her lovely little granddaughter, they happened on the most extraordinary surprise.

Pumpkins had sprouted. Six pumpkin plants bearing vegetables large enough to sit the lovely little granddaughter in had appeared, seemingly, overnight!
Magical pumpkins they must be, or possibly related to the kitchen scraps compost ... who can tell? The biggest question of all is, what lovely little adventure shall happen when the clock strikes twelve?
