Week 7: Places

24 August - 30 August: Slovenia - Austria - Italy

Today we drove from Lake Bohinj to Bovec, a lovely area closer to the Italian border as our next stop is hopefully Venice. A wrong turn took us from Slovenia, to Austria, and to Italy for a 100km drive. We had to buy a road vignette (toll sticker) for Austria, even though we were on the motorway for about 15 minutes! Sheesh.

Here´s the view from Mount Vogel, where we found an abandoned chairlift after a mini-trek once we found the top of the mountain.

I could see fish, and pebbles and that old jetty stump that had been cut off just below the water´s edge! Wonderful 8am swim. How life should be.
